Bad websites

http://www.arngren.net/  was one f the worst sights I have ever seen. It is so cluttered and full of different things that it is very easy to get lost on the main page.

http://www. lingscars.com is another cluttered website. And besides there is that big picture of the car right in the middle of the site page.

Good websites

www.apple.com is a great website. Everything is neatly categorized. And it has no clutter.  

www.enhancedlabs.com is another website that I think is pretty good. I know that it is kind of plain but the white lettering stands out really well on the black back ground. This site isn’t over run with graphics either which I think is great.

Week 10 Blog

Before this class I honestly had never heard of podcasting. By reading in

 Wikipedia I learned that podcasting was used in audio radio, video, PDF,

 or ePub files. This is very confusing for me so I am trying very hard to

understand the meaning behind podcasting. I also went to ipodder.org

which has great information on podcasting. Because of the information

that I have found it gives me a better understanding on what podcasting is.

I feel that Hans Rosling Presentation was one of the better ones that I have seen. First off I think the biggest part was that he did not use big confusing words. He talking in normal everyday language which I think is great. Secondly he didn’t stand still though his whole presentation. He moved about pointing out certain examples. And he was comical. In his presentation he cut in a few jokes or funny statements which made it easier to watch. And finally he used graphs with colored examples. I think this is a wonderful concept. I know for me personally, it attracts me to the graphs and makes me want to pay more attention.

Reflection on copyright and the kindle

 

While I was reading the article called Digital Storytelling: Copyright Law and E-book Audio Readers that was published by Jay Rivera on May 4, 2010, it talked about eBooks going audio. I think this is a terrific idea. I know from having ADHD myself as well as my son. It is easier for us to concentrate when readings are told to us. I know from experience that when you have difficulties trying on subject or getting into a reading it is very difficult and can be very time consuming. I think that children with reading difficulties can exceed in reading by having this option. I also do night agree that the Audio Ebook reader is breaking any laws. It’s not like you are copying any ones work your making it easier for people to enjoy the work that someone has written.

I have read all the articles about the Obama photo and I think this is a very difficult subject. I understand that there are copy right laws but I personally think that Shepard Fairey changed the photo so much I don’t see how it would be against the law to use it. I see it as if the person that took the photo is ok with it then leave it alone. I don’t feel that Shepard should be penalized for it.  But if it was a photo I took for example I would probably be upset if someone didn’t ask me. I think that if the Associated Press was to get anything maybe a payment for the use but not a crazy amount of money. I also feel that taking this all the way to court is crazy. I think it is something that could be handled between lawyers out of court.

I had a really hard time viewing these photos. But I managed to see them. It makes me wonder how someone came up with the idea of making art on your I pod. I would never have thought in a million years that you could make pictures like these. The picture that looks like a coil or something like that I think is amazing I just cannot figure out how someone could do that.

And as for Mone  writing a novel on her cel phone, I think that is crazy I would think that your fingurs would hurt so bad after that they would be all crampt up. I wish her good luck there  I could never do it.
